With the number of children receiving special education services in schools across the country increasing, the demand for financial planning professionals to have an understanding of Special Needs Financial Planning is growing. This webinar is an introduction to complex special needs planning strategies, with an emphasis on what’s possible with Special Needs Trusts.

The learning objectives for this CE/CPE-eligible webinar are:

  • Review of the Special Needs Trusts available and how they work
  • Understand relevant legal components including Special Needs Trusts, ABLE and guardianship.
  • Gain an overview of government benefits available.
  • Understand considerations for other family members.
  • How to align a parent’s estate plan while negatively affecting benefits

*CE Eligible: One CE credit will be submitted to the CFP Board on behalf of attendees. Complete certificates are also provided to attendees for self- reporting for those with American College designations (CLU, CHFC and RICP), CIMA, and NAPFA members. 

*CPE Eligible: Participants will earn 1 CPE credit and will receive a completion certificate for self-reporting their credit.
