A few comments from listeners when they were asked what the learned from the webinar:
I hadn't been familiar with the PTE2020-2 form; I appreciated the careful distinction between advice and education; she emphasized being very careful about AI Transcriptions and the errors and also making sure it is documented that you correct a client if they don't get something right. This, again, was very good and chock full of information and excellent fiduciary protocol. - Lois B.
Make a form that illustrates the comparisons, who asked for the rollover, the reason for any advice rendered, etc. - David T.
Under certain circumstances, an adviser may not be an ERISA fiduciary when advising on rollovers. - Michael D.
When in doubt, document!! Cost is not the only factor to doing what's in the client's best interest. - Steve S.
