The Elder Index™, which was developed by the Gerontology Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston with Wider Opportunities for Women (WOW) to increase this understanding. The Elder Index present local expenses, savings requirements, and what incomes are needed to achieve economic security by family type, and at the city, county, and state levels.

Join Jan Mutchler, Professor of Gerontology, to learn more about the index and learn:

• How to identify significant demographic and social features relating to the older population in the U.S.

• The 8 things financial planners should be aware of when interacting with older clients, and with clients who expect to be old

• Likely trends in the future relating to the older population
