This is the fourth segment of Estate Planning with Alan Gassman, which will provide a detailed review of the installment sale to a grantor trust and various aspects thereof, including if and when to make some or all of the promissory notes self-canceling or to convert the arrangement to a private annuity. The installment sale to a grantor trust is considered the most dynamic and popular technique in the estate tax arena by many. Yet, it is imperative that you understand the risks and rewards associated with this technique.
