This session will highlight the optimal practices for smarter client giving, including:

  • Evaluating nonprofits (board composition, programs, finances, etc.)

  • Identifying your top personal values and how they connect with your philanthropic giving

  • Exploring various philanthropic approaches (big vs. small organizations, local vs. global, tried and true vs. new organizations, etc.)

  • Developing a personal/family mission statement

  • How to involve children and heirs
