Approximately five thousand women turn sixty-five in the United States every day, and many are unprepared for the realities of aging. Single senior women face challenges that are unique to their marital status and gender such as fewer resources, more years alone, and financial illiteracy. Join author and retired financial advisor Marjorie Fox as she discusses the ways advisors might help their clients, in particular single senior women, travel the rest of life’s journey with knowledge, confidence, grace, and wisdom.

  • Identify ways you can help these clients overcome the challenges.
  • Know the pros and cons of products such as immediate annuities, dedicated portfolio theory (DPT) asset management, and reverse mortgages.
  • Recognize the advantages of providing services such as help with bottom-up budgeting, facilitation of the “talk” with adult children, providing information regarding senior living options, coaching specific to time management, and partnering with clients as they undergo transitions.
