Former Social Security director Kurt Czarnowski joins us for a timely review of the Social Security Trustees 2021 projections to address the question of 'Will Social Security be there for me?". Kurt will explain how Social Security benefits are funded, the Trust fund that used to pay out benefits, and President Biden's proposal to address the solvency of the program.
Kurt will also provide a refresher on:
- How Social security benefits are calculated
- Spousal benefits; i.e. non-working spouse, divorce, survivor)
- The Hold Harmless provision and Medicare Part B premiums
