ABLE programs (Achieving a Better Life Experience) provide a tax-advantaged way, similar to 529 education savings programs, for individuals with a disability to save and invest for a wide variety of qualified ABLE expenses, including basic living expenses, health, and wellness expenses.

ABLE accounts can be an important part of special needs planning to help clients meet the challenging needs of living with a disability or assisting family members with a disability.
