This webinar will start with an update on the most popular type of reverse mortgage, i.e. FHA-insured Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM").  An update will also be provided on Jumbo reverse mortgages, which can be an option for clients with multi-million homes in 27 states.

The second part of the webinar will feature a review of recently released data from HUD/FHA that provides insights into who uses reverse mortgages, where they are most popular, which payment option is used most and much more.

Finally, this webinar will also feature two reverse mortgage veterans who will share calculators that quantify the value of using a reverse mortgage. The uses cases to be reviewed will include two examples of how a reverse mortgage can be used to lower a client's tax bill, especially those making withdrawals from their qualified accounts. There will also be a use case that shows how a reverse mortgage can be used to pay for the income taxes that result from a Roth conversion.
